I’m light-hearted, love to laugh and have an appreciation for good business.

I love to wear bright colours so you will often see me walking from a mile away! Needless to say, Tropical Fridays are my favourite day of the week!

I have a passion for helping people and worked in Operation Compass for two years prior to coming to The Oasis Townsville.

I am also a facilitator for Conversations For Life.

Why have you joined the team at The Oasis Townsville?

Having worked in suicide prevention with Operation Compass for a number of years as well as having been the Deputy Chair of the Townsville Suicide Prevention Network, I am very passionate about preventing suicide in our community.

The Oasis Townsville is the next step in creating a place and a culture, for not only our Defence community but also our wider community as well, to meet, connect and get support. We are all in this together and together we can make a difference - it all starts with connection.

What are you most proud of in your life?

My son. There are some people that come into this world that face challenge after challenge and yet they never give up. I stand in awe and amazement of the capacity and resilience of individuals to keep going, to keep getting up no matter how many times they get knocked down and for the courage of people to reach out and ask for help.

I also stand in amazement of the kindness of people who reach out to help others, no matter how small. We are all fighting battles that no one else knows about and kindness can change a life. It can also save a life.

What’s the best fun you’ve had with family and/or friends?

I love adventure and a few years ago there was a huge water slide down Stanley St in the city. My son and I had the most fun ever sliding down the water slide over and over. Most of Townsville was there and I have never laughed so much. Great fun
