What is your role in The Oasis Townsville?
I am the Leader - Projects and Marketing. I lead the Operation Navigator project which is to prepare and empower our ADF personnel and their families to plan for their futures.
Tell us about yourself
I am a veteran with 10 years of service within the RAAF, medically discharging in 2019. I have been working in the Veteran mental health and wellbeing space since November 2021 and am passionate about supporting the veteran community throughout their transition journey.
Why have you joined the team at The Oasis Townsville?
I have joined The Oasis Townsville team because I believe that the best way to combat poor mental health is prevention - giving veterans all the tools to not just survive in the civilian world, but to thrive through equipping veterans with the knowledge and skills required.
What are you most proud of in your life?
I am very proud of the opportunity I have to use my lived experience to help build and implement ways to support Veterans through their Defence careers, in transition to civilian life and after transition.
What’s the best fun you’ve had with family and/or friends?
It is hard to narrow it down to one thing. I enjoy spending time outdoors and doing anything that gets my blood pumping.
