Cubic Australia provides Command, Control, Communications, Computing, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions to the Australia Defence Force.
What began as three employees in 2006 has expanded to a team of more than 300 full time and casual staff where veterans make up roughly 60% of the workforce, and 70% of the leadership team.
Cubicโs operational structure is similar to Defence, however regularly encourages collaboration and debate across roles and teams. This allows veterans who are new to the private sector to feel a sense of familiarity while also having opportunities to move outside their specific roles.
To help reduce barriers for prospective employees, Cubicโs recruitment team is defenceโaware and encourages individuals applying to use their military language so they can best represent their capabilities and skills.
Operating out of Townsville, Cubic are heavily engaged with the local veteran community, having a formal sponsorship arrangement of the volunteer program at the OASIS Townsville, being part of the local Veterans Business Alliance, and engaging with veteran owned Australian Warfighter Coffee to supply their workplace amongst other initiatives.
