We are currently seeking expressions of interest for about 3 to 5 Administration roles at our new HQ in Oonoonba commencing in late January 2021.

What is The Oasis Townsville?

What is the Oasis Nexus Team?

Bullet 3 above is key in understanding what the Nexus Team will do. We will form a team of 3 to 5 people who will be responsible for data entry and management of information required to conduct operations, booking and coordination of appointments for clients, and for maintaining the integrity of information about providers of services to The Oasis Townsville. This Nexus Team is central to the effective daily operations of The Oasis Townsville.  

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking individuals with a defence connection who understand the unique characteristics and needs of those who have served our country in the ADF, and who have availability of about 10 to 15 hours per week to commit to this role. 


Are you suited?

Candidates will have a pleasant phone manner, excellent computer skills, a high level of attention to detail, and an ability to multitask.  Working hours will be during school/daycare hours Monday to Friday.  Partners and members of the Townsville Defence ‘Family' are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Type:

  • Permanent Part-Time to a maximum of 15 hours per week 

Commencement Date:

  • Not before 27 January 2021 


The ideal applicant will be someone who has:  


  • Demonstrated competency in the Microsoft Office suite Outlook, Word and Excel 

  • Proven ability in data entry and attention to detail 

  • High level written and verbal communication skills  

  • High level organisational and time management skills and generates a culture of continuous improvement 

  • Demonstrates personal integrity, tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters. 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
