“By partnering with CQU, The Oasis Townsville will have an ongoing relationship with a civic minded, flexible organisation that is also Australia’s most engaged University - to support their efforts across a national footprint,” Professor Viljoen said.
“As such, this partnership will provide veterans and their families and staff access to education, training and research capability across a wide range of disciplines.”
The Oasis Townsville Chairman Mr John Caligari, AO, DSC said the partnership with CQUniversity was key to supporting members of the veteran community finding meaningful work.
“Central to reintegration of veterans and their families into the workforce and community after service to their country is support for the attainment of skills and education and this partnership with CQUniversity will enable us to better prepare them for their next challenges,” Mr Caligari said.
