Cafe Reopens to Support Veteran Community

Thursday, 18 August 2022

Dirty Boots Café at The Oasis Townsville is set to reopen its doors to the Townsville community with a whole new vibe on Monday 22 August at 7am.

The General Manager of The Oasis Townsville Angie Barsby said we’ve been temporarily closed for the last 6 weeks to give the café a new look and a new menu complete with our very own brand of coffee EKO (Early Knock Off) roasted by Dominion.

“It’s been an exciting couple of weeks revamping the café. We’ve given it a retro look that includes a selfie photo backdrop, a bike rack for those morning cyclists, and our delicious menu has been designed using fresh produce and local suppliers. You can even buy a bag of EKO coffee beans to take home with you.” Mrs Barsby said.

“Dirty Boots Café is open to everyone, not just the Veteran community. We know our regulars have been waiting for us to reopen and we can’t wait to see them along with some new faces.

“All proceeds raised from Dirty Boots Cafe, will go straight back to The Oasis Townsville so we can provide additional activities for Veterans and their families.

“The activities change regularly however at the moment The Oasis Townsville is offering scuba diving, sewing, watercolour painting group, outer limits adventure camp and golf.

“There’s also a Craft Market coming up, where we open our doors to all of Townsville’s community members to attend.

“It’s these types of activities that will continue through the community’s support of Dirty Boots Café.

Dirty Boots Café is located at The Oasis Townsville, 1 Staging Camp Avenue Oonoonba, and will operate from Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm and will open for special events during weekends.
