Job Details:
Job Summary: This position will be responsible for providing a full range of human resources (HR) services for Cubic Mission Performance Solutions (CMPS) including but not limited to recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations, remuneration, grievance resolution, wellness and return to work functions. This role will partner to build management confidence and enhance the employee experience. Position has reasonable independence in managing HR issues through coaching, education and guidance.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide trusted and sound HR generalist advice to management and their teams on human resources matters
Ensure strong, successful and meaningful partnerships are established to add value and be a trusted business partner
Ensure a positive profile of HR is reflected in the business by enhancing the employee experience and demonstrating Cubic’s values, and enacting Cubic’s business practices and standards
As a member of the management team, partner with the Regional Director on business matters
Be a key advocate in ensuring consistent application and compliance with HR practices and Cubic’s policies, standards, guidelines and tools
Assist global HR leader to implement and drive human resources initiatives and consistencies; always striving for continuous improvements to maximise people efficiencies and innovation
Understand business challenges, identify and solve regional HR needs, people issues and opportunities
Undertake workplace investigations, grievance management and conflict resolution
Provide guidance and support to organisational change, restructures and potential bids and proposals
Able to analyze HR metrics and utilize to drive measurable business impact
Provide advice to managers and employees across performance management, employee relations, change management, recruitment and selection, remuneration and benefits and workers compensation including return to work advice.
Support talent development through coaching, talent review, succession planning and identification of high performing employees
Provide support on employee professional development and career planning
Ensuring compliance with legislative regulations and requirements, including Fair Work Act & Modern Awards, Workers Compensation & WH&S
Ensure employees and third party contractor/s work in accordance with Cubic’s policies and procedures, in turn fostering a safe working environment.
Assist Managers in job redesign & evaluation and workforce planning
Ensure that the Immigration and visa legislation requirements are met
Take part in global HR initiatives by with HR colleagues on teams
Available for regional travel as needed

Minimum Job Requirements:
Qualifications
Essential:
University degree, or equivalent experience in Human Resources
Desirable:
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE)
Accredited in WHS Consultation
Accredited in Return to Work Coordination
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
Minimum of 8 years experience within a HR generalist role preferably in a technology environment
Prior supervisory experience is preferred
Knowledge of or prior experience with Workday preferred
Experience and working knowledge of HR across the APAC region is desirable
A proven track record of coaching, mentoring and empowering leaders
Strong relationship and rapport building skills with a capacity to create strong internal networks
Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality and strong ethical values
Proven record of advocacy, creative problem solving and dispute resolution
Demonstrated stakeholder relationship building skills and partnering with the business in specialized areas
Experience in working in a blue and white collar environments
Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES and ability to interpret awards, agreements and legislation
High level of interpersonal and communications skills, including strong written communication skills and presentation skills, can demonstrate managerial courage
