Equipment Operator G6 - Townsville

Our VBA Member, Aurizon, is currently seeking Equipment Operator G6 in Townsville.

Attractive salary package
Monday to Friday role with weekends and night shift overtime shifts
Permanent full time residential position with Australia’s Largest Freight Operator
About the role:

Operate heavy lifting (32 tonne) and light lifting forklifts and reachstacker
Loading and unloading of containerised freight (20 ft containers) from trucks and rail line.
Communicate via two-way radios with relevant transport coordinators and supervisors
Conduct relevant pre-start vehicle checks for operating machinery
Perform general terminal duties as directed including computer work and minor servicing of equipment
About you:

Must hold a current Forklift licence as part of High-Risk Licence
C Class driver’s licence
Previous experience in driving a forklift (32 tonne)
Ability to carry out routine container movements using a forklift (50 + movements per day)
Ability to use tablet accurately
