Begin your pathway to employment in the construction industry.
This course is suitable for those wanting a pathway to an apprenticeship in carpentry, plastering bricklaying, tiling joinery/shopfitting and more. Or to gain a trades assistant role in the construction industry.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Duration. Self-paced.
Theory: self-paced online. Approximately 10 to 20 days.
Practical: 8 to 10 days experience at our workplace or
Practical work experience/placement for approximately 80 hours.
Start date: Rolling intake, starting Monday every week.
Where: 22 Montgomery St, West End.

Eligibility
Be an Australian or NZ Citizen or Australian permanent resident including humanitarian entrance or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on a pathway to permanent residency
Permanently reside in QLD.
Be 15 years of age or older and no longer at school.
Not hold or be currently undertaking a Certificate III or higher qualifications (This does not include qualifications completed while at secondary school or abroad)
Cost / contribution fee
$50 concession.
$100 non concession.
Centrelink payments
As an approved settling course, you may qualify to receive Oz study. Add study the education supplement knew start youth allowance or the disability supplement.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Students need to complete the LLN test on enrolment.
All students must meet the minimum written oral numeracy and computer operating standards.
