Who does what to meet these needs in the
Early Planning Phase
This is the first of five phases of transitioning out of the ADF. It begins the day you join the ADF and ends when you have your first serious thought of preparing for the transition. This phase involves thinking about what you might do when you depart the ADF and setting a few objectives to achieve, especially where some of those objectives might take some time to achieve.
The 10 Human Needs identified below describe what Defence and DVA do to support your planning and how The Oasis Townsville can help.

Meaningful work
In the early planning phase of preparing for transition, considering meaningful work is a high priority as it may require considerable preparation over time. It is likely to involve establishing what you are good at and what you might like to do. There are skills and qualifications that can then be identified and worked toward in anticipation of transition.
