Lucia Taylor
I am Lucia Taylor and am a Director of Oasis Townsville commencing my appointment in August 2021. As part of the leadership team, I hope to provide, with my experience as a Lawyer having held similar board positions, expertise in governance which will assist in Oasis achieving its mission and goals within the community.
As a born and bred Townsvillian, I have grown up in a Defence Community and professionally have assisted Veterans to resolve their legal issues. Through this association, I am keenly aware of the challenges Veterans face in assimilating into the community after they leave the ADF.
The Oasis Townsville is a highly valued facility for the Townsville community and I am honoured to be involved in it's operation and growth at a Board level.
I was a Board Member for Queensland Legal Aid for 3 years and have been on many local community organisations including the Townsville Community Legal Service, North Queensland Women's Legal Service, North Queensland Community Foundation, School Boards and Sporting Associations.
When I am not working or involved in my families many varied activities, I enjoy cycling involving regular Charity Rides. I also enjoy the regular practice Yoga and Meditation and am a keen reader.
