The evidence from those who specialise in the field of wellbeing is that there are five essential elements of wellbeing. They are the universal elements of wellbeing that differentiate a thriving life from one spent suffering.
Career Wellbeing: how you occupy your time or simply liking what you do every day
Social Wellbeing: having strong relationships and love in your life
Financial Wellbeing: effectively managing your economic life
Physical Wellbeing: having good health and enough energy to get things done on a daily basis
Community Wellbeing: the sense of engagement you have with the area where you live
In order to achieve wellbeing for our Ex-ADF Community in Townsville, and to assist with the Transition, Connection and Integration of members of our community, we need a framework for the application of resources and to ensure casework is effective and efficient in supporting the Five Essential Elements of Wellbeing.
There have been several attempts at a framework that have each varied slightly. This framework is taken from the veteran forum conducted by DVA in Canberra in August 2019 and was widely regarded as the best of them all.
